Kiribati is a small island nation located in the central Pacific Ocean.  The population of Kiribati primarily consists of indigenous I-Kiribati people, who have inhabited the islands for centuries.

The largest immigrant groups in Kiribati are from Micronesia, Fiji, Tuvalu, Nauru, Australia and New Zealand, as well as from several other Pacific countries, but in smaller numbers. The individuals working in specific industries or foreign diplomats and aid workers, living in Bairiki, the Capital of Country. Additionally, some individuals from neighboring Pacific Island countries may have migrated to Kiribati for various reasons.
